With the procedure of VAT reimbursement to non-residents under the new Directive 2008/9/CE in force since 01/01/2010 , professionals and businesses that have incurred costs in EU countries can recover the VAT paid to foreign suppliers. The new EU legislation has made it more " streamlined " procedures for submitting applications and the reimbursement from the state abroad.
